Masai Mara Safari – Lonely Planet Travel Video

Thanks to its wildebeests, lions and cheetahs the Mara, Kenya, is the most predator-packed reserve in the world. We camped for 16 days in the park at a community run Masai camp near Talek gate. We can’t wait to do it again! This is an excellent experience for anyone wanting to get up close and personal with wildlife in Kenya. so true and i think that we need as people not stable growth we need a retreat we have grown to quickly and the population is the reason why animals are loosing habitat as urban environment grows and spreads and forests/plains/wetlands all lose area and get squashed into high density’s of animals in one national park/reserve. But animals still are threatened by poachers and it’s not right, i know they struggle and need money but we as 1st world countries need to stop it and fund the communities.

The generations of the future will only see these creatures as mythical legends just as we see dinosaurs because globalization’s is going to destroy wildlife and America is to blame really. Other countries aren’t going to let US enjoy wealth they have while they live in third world conditions. I think resources that these animals rely on such as land, food, and water will be deprived from them and sadly their beauty will only be enjoyed in zoo’s around the world.

People should appreciate wildlife the world have come to us and all about us in our eyes it is wrong. It’s all about personal success and it’s not right in my future i wish to become a safari guide or conservationist within mainly africa because i would like to have a job where i will do something that i think is right instead of sitting in a office in a supernatural unrealistic way or living how come all other animals can survive without money and cars y do we now need it when we never used to?

    Hey i’m Luke
I recently went on a 6 week africa trip (best holiday ever) i went on 5 sfaris in 3 different countries.
It’s amazing how some humans do not appreciate other animals and the fact that they might not be there anymore in the future Elephants will loose there tusks completely as evolution will get use to them not having any due to poaching Lions numbers have recently gone down to something like 30,000 (memory from my trip) from 200-300,000 this change is to much dont ignore it face it.

The Londolozi Game Reserve is much like Yellowstone National Park in America. The animals are so use to seeing people, that they are not afraid.

  43. itsmajik2u says:

i’m sure there’s some out there… unless ofcouse you do something crazy like go tromping about into the bush where they live with a guide, maybe.

  44. gl3309 says:

What you see in this video are leopards. However, on this trip we were very lucky to see a cheetah(jaguar)which is indeed very rare.

  45. memphis650 says:

a jaguar in the wild? I thought that was one of the most elusive and hard to track/spot big cats…
