What is a fun, safe place to travel to in Africa?

Question by Katherine: What is a fun, safe place to travel to in Africa?
My mom and I want to travel to Africa, but we are a little scared since we heard some stories about how dangerous it is. We are really interested in seeing safaris, and african culture, as well as some nice cities. The only languages we can speak are arabic and english, and we will either travel during the winter or summer. What would be a good place for us to visit?

go to tunisia, it’s in north africa and it’s is the safest place ever. there are many places where u can go also u can go to the Sahara. the mother tongue there is Arabic

    North Africa (morocco is particularly nice) is your best bet for finding Arabic speakers, but overall I would recommend Tanzania (East Africa). Most people (especially in cities) speak english. The culture is “African” (where in North Africa, it is a more middle eastern feel) and it is very safe and easy to navigate country. It also has some of the best destinations in Africa including the Northern Parks (serengeheti, ngorongoro) with amazing safaris, Kilimanjaro, and Zanzibar. It’s easily accessible through Kilimanjaro or Dar es Salaam airports and bus transport within the country is easy. Crime is low (with a little common sense, you shouldn’t have any problems – in fact i traveled alone through the country for 2 months without staying in a single hotel, just meeting people and living with them, never felt unsafe) and the country is relatively cheap. It is a good place for your first trip to Africa.

    well i recommend 3 options:
    1. Morocco.
    2. red sea( egypt, hurgada, sharm el-sheikh).
    3. Johannesburg *south africa.
    & have a nice travil.

    Definitely Ghana !

    Ghana has it all: Nice beaches, lush rain forest, National parks ,old slave castles,friendly and peaceful citizens. It is also by far one of the safest countries in Africa to travel to.
