SAFARI LEWA ep.1 “Getting There”

Safari Lewa Episode 1- Getting There. They say that the point of a journey is not to arrive, or something like that (thanks Rush). But flying an 8 hour flight to Amsterdam and then another 8 hours to Nairobi, you really want to arrive! There are only so many movies you can watch, and airplane food you can eat before you go a little crazy. (Sorry for the close up shots of my face) After spending the night at Wildebeest camp in Nairobi, it was a little plane flight out to Lewa Wildlife Conservancy and then, the safari finally begins. Hope you travel well, because we got a lot of animals to see! By: Brians Art for Animals. Thanks to everyone at Lewa and all the animals & people on this trip. -Some of the proceeds from these Safari Lewa videos will go to help Lewa’s programs.

I grew up in old Rhodesia, I witnessed the killings of the hunters, & don’t agree with it, over many years of thought, I know that the destruction of the ivory in commercial terms is the only way to save the animal, dye the ivory, DYE IT & it becomes commercially un usable DYE IT / Don’t buy IT.

yes i did. what a year..a drought, and now a flash flood. They will bounce back soon hopefully.

  8. Chilldogg says:

Did you hear about the flash flood that hit Samburu on March 4th? It wiped out the research camp for Save the Elephants. STE lost just about everything, but fortunately everyone escaped to higher ground or the tops of trees.

(sigh) I need to get out of Ohio.

So a waterbuck’s odor keeps predators away? A B.O. defense? Weird. I don’t think of lions as being that fastidious. I mean, they eat days old kill, don’t they?

    Looking forward to episode 2 . . . .
